Baby time……
Little Eve
I haven’t posted a picture of our little girl in a while. Eve is three months old now, cute as ever.

………………………….
Eve Continued…..
Just thought I would throw up some more pictures of Eve. She is 5 weeks old now and growing like crazy. Kim and I are having such a great time with her.
Here she at about 5 days old.

Like most new moms Kim has been devouring every baby book she can get her hands on.

I always end up taking pictures of her while she is laying on the changing table. The light coming in from the window is always so beautiful.

A typical face of hers.

I just took this one last week. Look at those beautiful eyes!

Lets go back in time…..
All the way back to 2 weeks ago while Kim was still pregnant. It was tuesday afternoon, the 20th of May and Kim had been having small contractions throughout the day. She was really feeling like the baby was coming soon, so we decided to have one final meal as a family of 2 and off we went. After dinner I noticed that the light was really nice and remembering that we had not had a proper portrait session of Kim as a soon to be Mom, we decided that this as going to be our last shot. (no pun intended) So we headed around downtown Orange and the following pictures are what we came up with. Kim was a real trooper during the whole shoot and did everything that I asked. Now, onto the photos.
This one is right outside of our apartment.

Eve Lee Day….Born….5-21-08….7lbs….19.5 inches….really stink’n cute!
Words cannot express how happy Kim and I are. The past couple days have been teaming with every emotion in the book. To witness the birth of your own child is a miracle to behold. I am so proud of Kim and the amazing job she did throughout her labor. All of the nurses and doctors kept commenting how calm and relaxed she was through out the whole thing. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting my wife, she is one of the most laid back and positive people you will ever know. We could not have asked for a better pregnancy and delivery. Mom and baby have been healthy all the way through and we are so happy to finally have our little Betty here with us. Thank you so much to all of our friends and family that have offered prayers and support on our family’s behalf these past 9 months. Now on with the pictures!!!!!!
Here is Kim towards the end of her labor, happy and excited to see her new little girl.

The fetal heart monitor, showing those contractions getting longer, stronger and closer together.

I didn’t pick up my camera again until after the birth because I was helping/coaching Kim so the next picture that I took was little Eve weighing in at 7lbs even.

Mom and baby, enjoying their first quite moment together.

About 5 hours after birth, still a little swollen, but cute as ever.

Austin, my brother, getting the hang of what it feels like to be a 1st time uncle.

This is by far my favorite picture that I have taken of Kim and Eve thus far. I love my girls!!!!!

Thanks everyone, more pictures to follow in the coming days, including some shots form the maternity session that I did with Kim the day she went into Labor!

This is Me (A Childs First Journal)
A few weeks ago my friend Carrie asked for my help with a project she has been working on. You might remember Carrie and her family from their awesome family portrait session we did a few months back. For the last while Carrie has been designing and working on a Journal/Memory book for her children. Now its finished, and ready to be brought to the masses. The project began after Carrie went looking for a similar product for her own daughter and couldn’t find anything that she could really get excited about. So she did what any self-respecting crafty Mom would do, she designed and published her own dang book! Of course with any new business venture now days, a website is a key part of the plan, ergo, I was brought on board to create some fun images for said website. Since she was the inspiration for the Journal in the first place Carrie only saw it fitting to use her oldest daughter for the photo shoot, , plus she works for only ice cream and cupcakes. Be sure to check out Carrie’s page on Esty.com The real website with my photos should be up shortly, but until then, here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Also be sure to check out Carrie’s blog Tales from the Crib
